Upon initial observation, it seems that the legacy of an academic mirrors the elitist mentality entrenched within this institution. A prominent feature of this approach is the tendency to be detached from the community or to dwell in the ivory tower. Public good is not defined in such an explanation of the mission of the university. From this ivory tower, the institution and its delegates are serving society only in one direction—from top to bottom. The motivation behind this service is academicians' sense of superiority and importance over the general public, not the university's essential necessity to do something. .( With all of the exaggeration and sense of disbelief it generates, such an image of the university is surely not going to satisfy and could even be misleading. Maybe it was this same image of the university that, while blowing the whistle on neoliberalism, also allowed the market to progressively take over the institution and, worse still, ride it. For the market, the delivery of a human being that functions like a machine is the only thing that matters, not the acceptance and application of critical thinking in society! This is where I wish the narrative ends. To the university's complete dismay, however, it has gone so far as to reinforce and replicate such contradictory beliefs.) To the extent that it is not known, why is the relationship of today's university with local, national and global crises not clear at all? For example, what is the relationship between the university and what is happening in Ukraine and Gaza? What is the relationship between the university and the global warming? What is with environmental pollution? Why is the deterrence and optimization role of the university not visible in such examples? In the best case, according to experience, in such situations, the university only analyzes and estimates their continuity with short and long periods of time. In the same picture, the university is in the hands of the media and dances with her. Therefore, the agency of the university is more about following the prevailing trend and directing the wealth that has entered it, rather than an element for shouting injustice and bringing the voices of the oppressed or even a gentler element that promotes the public good. I believe that we have lost the way regarding the mission of the university and in order to realize original concept of university, humanity must put up a tremendous effort. Above all, Humboldt's conception of Bildung is paramount. There are glimmers of hope in Humboldt's own statements, which emphasize Bildung and the need for inclusive interaction with the outside world, despite the fact that some may see him as a strong proponent of the elitist idea of the university. he implores the university to go back to its original course of inquiry and agency. I am looking for such an idea of rethinking the idea of the university.
