Abstract Reflections of religious concepts are visible in all branches of art in every era. The same is about designing landscape and green space. Islamic – Iranian landscaping was used to make an appropriate and deep connection between religion and art of landscaping, which its result is seen in Persian garden. But a huge gap between these two is being observed in the current century that has roots in crisis of identity existing in landscape-design. Regarding to the identity crisis existing in this field, creating identity is an essential need in society. Thus this article tries to answer this question: how has the quality of landscape design sorted in the Quran? This research, by the means of descriptive- analytical method in the context of verses of Quran and its commentaries, tries to identify unexplored Islamic concepts related to landscape design with an emphasis on descriptions expressed in Quran. Finally, the result shows that Quran is replete with valuable teaching about landscape design and one can create an Islamic identity based on Islamic elements by understanding and deploying these teachings.
