Analysis and design of structures based on statistical and reliability methods have been utilized by many researchers. Exisiting of random parameters on demands and capacities of structrual elements, will lead to the unsafe or even uneconomic designs. This paper investigates the effect of uncertainties on the steel beams according to extreme conditions of the steel beams. Therfore, the limit state function is well defined and then random parameters of loads and resistances have been extracted. The limit state function is defined in MATLAB based program using Monte Carlo simulation technique. To ensure the accuracy of the results, higher cycles of Monte Carlo simulation in calculation of safety index have been used.
