Nowadays, the different kinds of silica nanopours material are investigated as a green catalyst for organic reactions [1-3]. In this work, the nanopore of MCM-41 was synthesized and functionalized by amine group and it was characterized by X-ray diffraction and Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy. The silver (Ag) was loaded on amine-functionalized MCM-41 by auto-reduction of Ag ions. Afterwards, the Ag supported on amine-functionalized MCM-41 (Ag/N/MCM-41) was used for reduction of 4-nitrophenol by NaBH 4. The result is showed that the yield of catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol by Ag/N/MCM-41 is more than 95 percent within 20 minute.
