Abstract

The aim of this study is to investigate the effect of destination attitude and image on the intention to visit green hotels on Kish Island by determining the effect of the modifying role of gender. The present study was applied in terms of its purpose and descriptive-survey in terms of its nature and data collection method. The statistical population of the study is all customers of Kish Island hotels who have traveled to Kish Island during the past year. The statistical population was assumed to be unlimited according to the announced statistics and an online questionnaire was distributed to different tourism groups, and 329 responses were identified as analyzable. The collection tools used in the present study included the standard questionnaires. The research findings showed that the components of tourism destination image including (Effective Image And Cognitive Image) and attitude towards destination have a positive and significant effect on the intention to revisit green hotels in Kish. The hypotheses of the modifying role of gender in the relationship between destination attitude and visit intention, as well as destination image and visit intention, were not confirmed.
