Abstract

Rapid challenges in technology create the opportunity to respond to the need of transportation users in a safer and more efficient way. Today's complexities of air transportation market have put forward many challenges for the future of the industry for each country. While in the developing countries problems like increasing efficiency and safety of air transportation is very important, in other countries however, transformation of the existing system to a new set of capabilities that allow the system to serve limitations on operational flexibility and overall capacity, is just as important. In this paper having investigation the current state of air transportation for Iran, the future challenges, the need and other equipment for a safe, economic and reliable air transport is studied. The deficiencies of the system have been surveyed in its major components including airline, airports and institutional and legal structure of the system. Some of important factors considered in this research include charging policies for aviation services, effects of deregulation, technical standards and requirement and factors affecting design of flight routes. Research show major changes which will aid air transportation system to meet the need for confronting future challenges of air transport market in Iran.
