Abstract

Nanostructured Copper Selenide thin films has been fabricated using a simple chemical synthesis process of chemical bath deposition method. The concentration of complexing agenthas a vital role that effect on the stoichiometry and control basic parameters in related to semiconductor materials. The nanoparticles, the Copper Selenide thin films configuration, and the energy band gap as well as thickness of thin films are optimized considering experimental data and using proper governing last solution pH at optimized temperature. XRD is used to characterize the thin films, energy band gap is estimated by UV-visible spectroscopy. In addition, the quantitative analysis of the thin films is carried out using EDX technique, and surface morphology is examined by field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM). The EDX data show that stoichiometry of samples optimum with increasing of the complex agent concentration, sample with pH = 10 has an optimal stoichiometry. From the present work for producing the appropriate CuSe nanostructure thin film, which can be used in quantum dot solar cell. Nanostructured natural of thin films empower for their outstanding photo-catalytic behavior due to the role from the increased visible light absorption.
