Charge current and in-plane spin current are calculated in magnetic tunnel junctions (MTJs). The transmission function is investigated using nonequilibrium Green’s function formalism in a single-barrier MTJ, a resonanttunneling MTJ and an anti-reflective MTJ (A-MTJ). The results show an enhancement in magnitude of the charge and in-plane spin currents for an A-MTJ compared to the other MTJs due to the presence of anti-reflective regions.
