Densities and viscosities of binary mixtures of ethylmethylketone with 2-propanol, 2-butanol, 2- pentanol, 2-hexanol, and 2-heptanol, have been measured as a function of composition range at temperatures of 298.15 K, 303.15 K, 308.15 K, 313.15 K and ambient pressure. Excess molar volumes VEm and viscosity deviations were calculated and correlated by the Redlich–Kister equation to derive the adjustable parameters and estimate the standard error. For mixtures of ethylmethylketone with used 2-alkanols, VEm is positive and is negative over the entire range of mole fraction. The ERAS-model has been applied for describing the binary excess molar volumes and also Peng–Robinson–Stryjek–Vera (PRSV) equation of state (EOS) has been used to predict the binary excess molar volumes and viscosities.
