Densitiesandviscositiesforbinarymixturesofdimethylcarbonatewith2-propanolupto2-heptanol were measuredatvarioustemperaturesandambientpressure.Fromexperimentaldata,excessmolar volumes, VE m. werecalculatedandcorrelatedbytheRedlich–Kisterequationtoobtainthebinary coefficientsandthestandarddeviations.Excessmolarvolumes, VE m, arepositiveforallstudiedmixtures over theentirerangeofthemolefraction.TheERAS-modelhasbeenappliedfordescribingthebinary excess molarvolumesandalsoPeng–Robinson–Stryjek–Vera(PRSV)equationofstate(EOS)hasbeen used topredictthebinaryexcessmolarvolumesandviscosities.Alsoseveralsemi-empiricalmodels were usedtocorrelatetheviscosityofbinarymixtures.
